Status if KVM switches

Hello

Back in the day kvm switches had issues with clarity, switching and dependability unless you paid real big dollars  for the kvm switch.

For almost forever I have preferred all software solutions because they worked better unless you were doing heavy video and sound such as video conferencing  solutions such as Google Hangouts.

As you were guessing, my next sentence that I need to do Google Hangouts and other video conferencing.   Is there a decent kvm out there now that is Windows / Linux compatible, HDMI and reasonably priced.  I am hoping HDMI may have made this better.

Regards;
