*.MDF' cannot be opened

I'm trying too attach a database  but am getting the following error:

cannot be opened because it is version 661. This server supports version 612 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported.(  using  ms sql server 2005 and vs2008 )

so my question is
How to  copy out the data from that database ? , i don't want upgrade or downgrade versions.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I use Microsoft Publishing wizard to do what you are trying to accomplish.

The way it works is that you install it on the db you are trying to copy or migrate data from.

Once installation is complete, you can access by going from Program Files and you see the publishing wizard.

Click on it just follow the screen. It is pretty easy.

The only requirement is that you create a database on your destination server.

The publishing wizard will do the rest.

It will create your tables and move all your data.

data structure and definition remain unchanged and you lose NO data.

Good luck.
