microsoft exchange inbox issue

I having some issue with one of the user inbox can not show the received in email even self test mail.There are no problem for other user.After i delete all the rules from user outlook then all the email can show in inbox again ?Please advice ,why this can be happen ?any limitation of the mail rules or exchange can not have too many mail rules ?

From the problem you are seeing, with too many rules  there is always the chance a new rule will cause all emails to disappear without a trace... finding the rule that caused the issue is a real long task. You would have to add each rule individually until you find the culprit.

If the mailbox is not getting any emails, but when you remove the rules it does, the only possible cause could be a bad rule.

Yes, there is a default 64K available for Outlook rules in Exchange 2010, This can be extended to 256K with
Set-Mailbox <username> -RulesQuota:256KB

If the user has a lot of rules, it can cause all kinds of problems, and finding the problem gets even more difficult with too many rules.

Its same for Exchange Server 2007 and later versions i.e. 64 KB
