Can the program hard disk clone by Miray span across hard drives in its backup mode?

I asked a related question but this one is specific to the Miray program.   In its backup mode, can it span to a target of more than one disk?  Does it reference this in its docs?

In my previous question i referenced cloning across a span of disks, but was reminded that then this wouldn't be a clone.

The only mention of something that might do what you are asking for is in the Professional edition "clone to virtual disk" assuming that might mean a stripe of small partitions.

With the cost of disks so low what's the problem with buying a similar (or larger) sized disk, and that would take out all the complexity and chances of things going wrong

a backup.. a clone is where it uses 2 drives and it copies starting at the mbr boot sector 0/0/0 and continues onto the end reading from one disk and writing to the other.  A backup then a restore from the backup is ONE way of cloning the disk but it is not a true clone. With a clone ( a full bit copy of one disk to another) you could restore deleted files and shadow copies .. with a backup/restore only the existing files will be present.

David, will hard Disk Clone span to the optical drive in the standard edition?

I'm going to posts a new question for the following  issues; just to  everyone knows.
For a general mix of program&data files what kind of compression can I expect?   But really is a DVD backup practical  for more than a few gigs?  Aren't the disks kind of temperamental?

Thanks, Lewis.
