Dynamics Database roles vs. Reports

Hello,

We have deployed Dynamics 2013 SSRS and we are know in the security setup process. There were a couple of Database roles (rpt_bookkeeper for exaqmple) created on my Dynamics database and my company database. In order to give my users the correct permissions to the right reports I will like to know what reports can be accessed with each of these database roles.

Any hints on where can I find this information?

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You might want to confirm which Dynamics product you are using. I guess it is GP since you used it in your tags.

If so, I can't help with GP but perhaps others can.

Hi,

The easiest method I've found is to use the Support Debug Tool for GP.  It isn't "easy", but it's easier than other methods, like querying the database.  Once you use it a few times, it becomes easier, but if you don't use it for 6 months, there's a learning curve to remember how to use it again.

Here is one of several posts on using it to research GP security:

If you want to know more about the table data, here is David Musgrave's post on the security details:
