Persist data in a Datatable

I have a question using Datatable plugin.

I have a page with links that triggers a modal box with a datatable in it.  It has about 500 items but show only 100 entries at a time.

In the modal that pops out, I am trying to create an eventlistener for each cell (the data in each cell will be clickable allowing for further drill down) in the datatable.

Does anyone know if the eventlistener will persist to the other pages in the modal when next is clicked?

Is there a way to do that in a DataTable?

Hi,
how do you create the modal box?
Could you perhaps explain the drill-down? Does this happen to the datatable in the modal box?
Is the paging based on client data (hence the modal box already have all records) or is it based on server side paging (hence ajax calls to request the next 100 records)?
Can you share your code?

From what I know, the click event persists even after moving to other pages - but as far as I can remember I had all table data already on the client side (so no server side paging).

Thanks and HTH

Sorry for the late response.

So, I have a jqplot bar chart that is clickable.  Once the user clicks the bar piece, it will bring up a modal box that has a table created from the datatable plugin with data pulled from a SharePoint list.  The table has 6 columns and would like to attach a click event to the data in all the cells of the columns.  Since the event is being attached when the modal loads, we want the event to still be attached when going through paging.

I hope that makes sense.

So I was going through the dataTable documentation and it looks like this will do what I want but I'm not sure.
