"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First, what is your budget? We can recommend all sorts of devices but without knowing your budget we could end up missing the mark considerably.

Without knowing your budget, here is some info. Xerox workcentre Phasers are a real good option for this. Most devices in the same price range do not have the ease of use and Total Cost of Ownership benefits that a Xerox device grants. When providing a tool for staff you want something easy, quick to use, and intuitive. You also want it to be easily managed by IT staff... Xerox is it! Not to mention the fax forward functions are awesome with the Xerox's.

Any other major branded multi-function device with (PUSH) scanning and a Fax board would suffice though. After Xerox I would recommend a Canon ImageRunner. Make sure whatever you buy does not require a program to 'Pull' the scan into a program - your staff will hate you. A 'PUSH' style would be one with a buttons on the screen that have defined scan locations to 'push' the scan to. This feature is called Network Scanning or SMB Scanning and is generally configured to PUSH the scan to a Shared folder, or multiple shared folders, on the network.

I hope this helps a little and if you let us know your budget we can narrow it down a bit.
