I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have Google Chrome and Firefox loaded on my PC but almost exclusively use IE (IE11 now).
I am very pleased with IE11, but choice of a browser is often a personal matter, or sometime depends on what sites you access.  You should use what you like.

It should work just fine. I think you may be talking about F12 Developer Tools?

If you want to troubleshoot web based applications you might have a look at Microsoft Message Analyzer
