Dear friend,

Can you pleaae check the print spooler service running or not on the print server ?
DayleMcAdmin

I would first check the Print Spooler under services and make sure it is running. I had this issue before.

Most probably your print spooler service is stopped thats why printers are disappeared . Just start it and they will showup

ok - but may i ask why it is not practical ?

Have you already excluded a virus/Trojan/spyware issue?

I would suggest to download and run with administrator privileges from your PC Combofix (save it on your Desktop):

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/

Then also AdwCleaner to clean up your browsers:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

and finally a full scan with Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware from there:

Dave - is that the answer to my question?  if so - tx - but it is fairly easy to reinstall it if needed

was the problem there BEFOR you installed this software?

it can be the reason for your problem
also - did you reboot yet?  if not - do so

Problem was not there before installing the software. (I don't really know since I haven't looked in control panel for a while). By the way I have complete access to all of my printers by going to control panel/admin istrative tools/printer management. I can do anything I can do in control panel

I was working with a technician from CANON corporation re: a problem with my scanner. We were poking around various services that were not started and noticed that one of the Bluetooth services was not started. Started the service and the problem was solved. What that has to do with Control Panel I have no idea.
