"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I go right to Desktop on boot.  But I did not create a password when I first set up the PC.

If you have only one user with no password it should happen automatically.

You can remove a password by going into ...
Control Panel > Users Accounts > Change your password .... (just leave the new password fields blank)

Open a CMD prompt and enter

control userpasswords2

Now UAC will show up and you can authenticate using the admin account and his password. In the utility that shows up you can now enter the user account you want to logon automatically with and insert his password.
