"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can move many installed from the phone's memory to the SD card.
My Android version is probably older than yours, but it's something like this.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
Choose the All tab at the top. (Downloaded tab may be better)
Then choose an app ...... Then look for Move To SD Card

So, while you may not be able to install directly to the SD card
you should, in most cases, be able to move it there.
