This version of FoxPro is dated in 2007. It is too old for Windows 8.1.

Consider running it in a virtual machine.

Did this version run in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit?  If so, use a Windows 7 virtual machine. If not, use an XP virtual machine.

Can you upgrade FoxPro?  Or use an alternative product?

A VM is probably the best you can do.

FoxPro is a deal (albeit great) programming language.  It's probably time to re-write the application in something modern.

Just to clarify:
By now using VFP9 is not a matter of choice but a necessity.
I'm distributing  not profitable systems mainly for charities.
So, the task of translate to an actualized language could not be supported by now!

Pcelba, thank you for your always precise answers!
Exactly. To port any working VFP app into another development environment would mean hundreds or even thousands of man-hours. And smaller clients do not have funds for such almost useless (for them) action... Even the port to almost compatible environment like e.g. Lianja or dBase or Xbase++ means reasonable amount of work.

OTOH, VFP language is frozen today, the missing support and development becomes more and more visible. New programmers do not use VFP so the end of VFP era will surely come. But I am not complaining. To jump into Python, Lua, or even JavaScript is a great challenge.

Thanks for the points!

I workarounded internet development by using PHP/ Javascript since it has too much classes available to help.  Unfortunatelly there is no PHP language platform viable to develop desktop apps (just a discontinued one).
