Visual studio 2008/2013, collaboration source codes

I'm using visual studio 2005, but also have license for Visual Studio 2008/2013.
Isn't source safe included in 2008? I tried to install visual source safe using VS 2008, but it doesn't the installation options and in 2013 as well.
I briefly read about collaboration software for VS 2013, it says Team Foundation comes with it. How do I obtain the software?

Hi crcsupport;

To get access to the Team Explorer window on the main menu of Visual Studio 2013 click on View --> Team Explorer. From Team Explorer you can use TFS or Git. Please see this link Getting Started with Git in Visual Studio and Team Foundation Service to see how to use it in your project. Please note that if you are using VS 2013 it is already installed on the system the rest of the post should be the same.
