Server 2012 R2 No Internet Access After Promoting to Domain Controller

Hello I am running Windows Server 2012 R2.  After promoting to a domain controller I am getting no internet access.  I can ping external and internal IP's however DNS does not seem to be resolving.  Even if I put an different DNS server in the TCP properties, I still get no resolve.

Thank you for you help

I would suspect an external firewall issue. The default configuration for the DNS server service on a DC is to use root hints for reclusive lookups, while I regularly see firewalls configured to only allow DNS to and from specific machines.

To troubleshoot, follow the data. Use nslookup to generate DNS traffic and wireshark to see what is going on. Router logs. Mirror ports if need be. Find where the data disappears.

I would suggest posting a screen shot of IPCONFIG /ALL from the server and of your DNS servers config.
