I am looking to configure a usb to a vm.
The vm is in HA cluster and will be migrated from host to host.
The usb will be attached to a Esxi.
Can someone put me some steps please?, I will appreciate.

Thank you for the info. This is what I was looking for.
Should I connect the usb to a Esxi host  prior to do the above steps?

Yes, you must connect the USB device, before proceeding with adding it to the VM.

when we go and configure another vm for another usb then there will be more than one usb will be listing, because this esxi has multiple usbs.
What will happen if we accidentally select a usb which has already assigned to another vm, will the data on that usb be corrupted?

You cannot select another USB device, which has already been assigned to another VM.

Once a USB device has been assigned to a VM, it's assigned. (unless you remove it!).
