PowerPoint Add items one at a time to the same screen

Hi

I want to build a PowerPoint presentation where I start with a blank screen then add one item
to it with each new slide, so that I gradually add to just that screen. Is the best way to do this to just copy the
previous slide over adding a new item to it each time?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That's a pretty straightforward way to do it, and it will work fine. The only problem is when you decide to make a change partway through and then have to go back and try to change all the previous slides.

I recommend you work backwards: create the final slide and then copy it and remove items each time.

Either that or you could use animation to add each item.
