What is the best way to backup a HYPER V VHD

Hi All,

We recently had a fatal error on a VM we had running and ultimately we needed to revert back to a earlier Snapshot, thus loosing  numerous amounts of data.

We think it was caused by a chkdisk run on the parent machine but we are not certain.

What i need is a robust way of backing up the VM on a daily basis, and being able to restore it without too much fuss.

We currently use HYPER V on 2008 r2.

Thanks Andrew,

It looks like a decent program, a bit pricey for just backing up 3 VMs.

Do you know of a way to automate the backup without having to purchase the full version?
