Application running PostgreSQL and ODBC connect to Windows MSSQL server questions

Hello, we have an application running PostSQL on a Linux box. I am working on a scope document to send to vendors to communicate what data fields I need to pass from this system to a another system that will be Windows based. The vendor who operates the PostgreSQL / Linux application has information about setting up ODBC connections. I'd like to create a read only connection to this PostgreSQL database on one of our Windows MSSQL servers and use SSMS to create a visual map of the PostgreSQL database so I can understand relationships and look at table data.

Is this possible? We have Win2003 MSSQL2008 standard 32-bit and Win2012 MSSQL2012 Standard 64-bit servers or even MS Access would work for this project.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
