lightweight reliable power supply for toshiba portege r835-p56x

I plan to start using my Toshiba Portege again. It is nice and light and has a built-in optical drive. The computer, unfortunately, will only last for about three hours, which might be serviceable if I'm not away from a plug for too long. I would like to find the lightest, reliable power supply for a reasonable price. When I look online, many of the offerings, at least according to the reviews, either break very quickly, set things on fire or tend to explode. Can I get some recommendations for devices that will work and not be dangerous? I would also like to know if I can get around this time limitation using an external battery such as the Ravpower lithium-ion devices (I have some 10,000 mA hour models available to me). Thanks. Any help appreciated and appropriate points awarded for useful advice.

If you've looked at online then you realise you pay your money and take your chances.

You can go to Toshiba the manufacturer and pay their price.  See http://www.toshiba.com/us/accessories/Power/Batteries/PA3930U-1BRS and look at the price.  This is a 8100 mAh battery which could well be more than your present one.  But also look at the price and compare to online prices.

You'll get 5200 mAh batteries from online http://www.amazon.com/BTExpert%C2%AE-R835-P50X-R835-P55X-R835-P56X-R835-ST3N01/dp/B00KSUI7TS/ref=pd_cp_pc_0/178-2410853-9510634 for a quarter of the price and take your chances.

Now if your Ravpower can output 19 volts and around 3.42 amps and you have the right connector then you can supply that power to the Portege.

Here http://www.noina.net/products.php?assortmentProductId=51377901&shopGroupId=91732980 for example is one that can do it.
