Adding an Audio File (MP3) to a Website (HTML) page

Hi all - What are the best options these days for adding an Audio File to a Website, as in "Click to Listen" link?
(See http://alanstrachan.com/audiovideo.html and Click LISTEN link)
I'd like to:
#1 I added that simple link, and tried it, thinking that I would be forced to download the entire file first  ... but surprise,  at least on my Mac, a Streaming Windows came up, colplete with controls (volume, FF, etc)  and it played perfectly.  It is a public website though, so I need it to work regardless of the client's computer.
#2 I also would like to include a phototo look at, while folks listen, instead of a jet-black screen
#3 Anyone know the best way to remove some of the background noise from the Audio?
If this were a Movie, I could just open it in iMovie on the Mac and do everything above. I guess I've just been so wrapped up in video projects the past few years that I am out of touch with how to handle an Audio-only project !!! I do have a Mac and a Windows PC, so a solution using either is fine.
* Thanks in advance for any help everyone!

You have an html5 audio tag https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/HTML/Using_HTML5_audio_and_video.  I would strongly suggest to not stream your audio from your web server and instead use a 3rd party cdn.  Actually for free you can use google drive, ms onedrive or dropbox but there is not an api to stream seamlessly I believe.   Check out https://soundcloud.com/ where you can upload your audio and embed to your site.   Once your audio is up, click on share then embed and you get code like this
<iframe width="100%" height="450" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/40933999&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true"></iframe>
