Does Microsoft Pay Partners to Convert Customers to Office 365

I have heard rumors that when you convert a company to Office 365 and have to set up and import the old PST files that Microsoft will pay you to do that. Is that true? If so, how much do they pay you and how do you submit the invoice?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

IF you are a Microsoft Partner, AND you have signed up to be able to resell Office 365 via their Cloud Program, AND you have the customer enter your Partner ID as their "Partner of Record", you can receive a one time commission when they sign up, and then a smaller commission on each of their renewal payments.

This Technet Article would be a good place to start:
"Update: How do Microsoft partners sign up to sell Office 365?"

Hope this helps!

All the above hold true. Does the one-time commission amount to anything? So Microsoft won't actually pay you to do the conversion i.e. make the changes to Outlook and import the current pst files in to Outlook 365?

The program has been in a "state of change" for a while now, but I believe the percentages were 18% for the initial signup, and 6% of the recurring revenue.

An no, they do not pay you to perform work for the customer. That is your opportunity to bill for services rendered...
