Help with editing PDF Form

Hi,

I created a Form with ADODE Acrobat professional, is there a PDF version users can use free of charge to edit and save the Form?

Thanks,

Victor

Yes all your users need is the free Adobe Reader

When you create a form in Acrobat you can "enable" this form for Reader use. This creates a special version of the PDF that allows anyone with Adobe Reader installed to complete the form and save it.

You should always keep a backup of your original form though, so save the User PDF under a different file name.

Here is a handy video that explains how you do this.

I have also provided a detailed answer if you want to distribute the form here.

Hi again,

The Reader Extended PDF option is enabled but can't select either of the three options from the sub menu.

Hi Victor

When you say "is enabled" what do you mean?

You only need the option for adding text in interactive forms (Save as Other>More tools..)

If the PDF is already enabled you will see "Save a copy" in the File menu, this disappears when it is not enabled. A Reader enabled PDF is restricted for certain Acrobat editing functions. But the 3 options should not be greyed out, you should get a warning instead if it is already enabled.

Try the Save a copy and start again if you have that option. Otherwise can you post the document here?

thx
