Upgrade for ESX 4.0

Hello Experts,

I am running ESX4.0 update 4 in my infrastructure and I want to bring it to the latest patch level for esx4.0. Can you please let me know the best way to achieve this?

Many thanks,

Upgrade VMware 4.0 to 4.1

VMware knowledge base to help familiarize yourself with the upgrade.  Depends on your environment when you go to upgrade.  If you have only a few hosts you could simply burn the update to a disk and or bootable flash drive and install it to your hosts.  Or update your VCenter and push the update.  The guide above gives you a few options to consider when upgrading your environment

Why not just use the Update Manager(VUM) in vCenter?  It appears as though you just want to get to the newest patch level for 4.0, VUM should accomplish this easily.
