Phantom WSUS services

How do I Re-set/Fix Windows Update from looking for a non-existent WSUS server.

I have a 2012 r2 Server that has been re-purposed.  It was part of another Domain in another state but has been forcefully removed from that Domain.   Also since then the server has been promoted to as a new DC in its own Forest without a WSUS server.  It won't update and appears that it's still looking for the WSUS server of the old Domain.
