exchange 2010 perf monitoring

Hi Experts,

What are the important exchange counters to monitor when it comes to

storage
log replication in a DAG
client connectivity

In my DAG, i keep getting logs in the event log log telling me that it has switched back to file mode from block mode.  Is this telling me that the storage isn't good enough?

if the latency of your disks are too high then it won't run well
