Configuring Exchange 2013 in-place Archiving and retention polices

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if it's possible to configure in-place archiving for all users based on a timely manner (archive all emails that are older than 6 months) and not allow any user to reach these emails except the Exchange Administrator.

Is this possible to accomplish? if so I would appreciate the steps.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

No, it isn't possible to configure it in the way that you wish.
The emails are moved to the archive mailbox using the security context of the user - they have full mailbox access to the archive. If you remove that then the archive stops working.

If you want to remove the content and the user's ability to access it then you are going to have to look at another product that actually removes the content.
