DNS server issues [Windows 2008 R2 servers]

Hello Experts,

I have a client who is struggling with AD and DNS replication issues. After looking at server logs, it seems like the 4001 appears to be root cause.

Can you please check all screenshots attached, and let me know your thoughts?

How can we fix this issue?

Environment:

10 sites, multiple DCs/DNS servers, 3 AD integrated zones, all Windows 2008 R2 servers, domain/functional level

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Looks like the DNS servers don't have the correct permissions to write to the zone (Insufficient_Access_Rights).  For the zone(s) in question, what are the authoritative DNS servers listed in the properties of the DNS zone?

Go to DNS management, go to the properties of the DNS zone that isn't updating and look at the Name Servers tab.

Make sure that the zone itself is configured properly (AD-integrated).

There may be other root causes that are outside of DNS (modified AD security rights)

Does issue facing on all DNS servers?

Check if you have any duplicate AD integrated zones, if found just delete them
