Can you use EWS against Exchange Servers hosted by Microsoft as part of an Office 365 setup?

Hi,

I am developing an application that interrogates each user's email stored in Exchange 2013, 2010 and 2007 using EWS and it provides them with stats based on the emails being sent and received.  At the moment I am working against on-premises Exchange servers and it all works swimmingly. One of my potential clients has asked if it will work when they switch to using Office 365 for Business and having their Exchange Server hosted by Microsoft as part of the Office 365 offering?

Can anyone confirm or deny that I can interrogate an Office 365 Exchange Server? I am assuming it will be Exchange 2013 running on Azure?

Any help appreciated.

Looking at the blog you sent me and specifically this linked post I got my answer:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/office/office365/howto/platform-development-overview

This definitely indicates that I can access this data via Microsoft's implementation of REST.

Thanks very much.
