Moving Windows 7 to different hardware

I have computer A with windows 7 and all user programs installed. I have a new dell (computer B) and would like to transfer over the entire image without having to reinstall everything. We own licenses and it's not oem so that is not an issue. I tried with acronis true image and making a boot disk and it computer up with windows recovery methods on Computer B. Anyone have an suggestion how to accomplish this?

THanks,
Paul

it won't work quite right because of the hardware changes so there might be boot issues
if you did get it working, you would need to get all of the drivers from dell and install those; removing any specific drivers from the old system
you will also need to activate windows again but looks like you have that part covered
Use p2v and v2p solution

You can try Acronis Universal Restore:
http://www.acronis.com/en-us/business/universal-restore/
You can try PC Mover from Laplink (laplink.com). It might work. Drivers will be a problem as noted.

It is always better just to reinstall things. Easy, usually faster, safer, works better and lasts longer.
