I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Windows Server Backup is a proper backup software which is distributed freely with windows.

You will need to install it from the Server Manager

>>> https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/cc732081.aspx

Once installed, you can specify the backup type and the destination.

It does a really good job for a free software  and very reliable.

There is a command line interface and a GUI.

You can however go for 3rd party solutions like BackupExec, Acronis etc if you like.

Hope this helps.

In Windows Server Manager navigate to Features and select Add Feature.
Look this tutorial how to add and use Windows Server Backup: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Backup_Restore/VP_428.html
As an alternative I recommend you Hard Disk Manager 15 Server Basic from Paragon: http://www.paragon-software.com/small-business/hdm-business/
Price effective and rich functions.

In the current state of the art, Veeam does not provide this functionality but it's coming ASAP in the next GA release.

If you want this happens right now, redirect your thoughts into Acronis Backup for Windows Server:

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/business/backup/windows-server/#section_key-features

With Acronis you may encrypt your backups.....

In the Hard Disk Manager 15 I gave you link for - the encryption of backup image is available. And it costs not so much for a Server Backup tool.
