Exchange 2010 DAG configuration

Hi Guys, in need of some advice
I have built a 5 server Exchange 2010 platform to replace a single Exchange 2003 server. Servers are as follows:
2 x HUB/CAS servers
3 x MBX servers

The servers are to OS level at the moment on VMs but before I install the Exchange 2010 Roles I'm not sure how many hard disks per server to allocate and also how to carve up the space in view of the proposal document request which I have attached:

There are currently no more than 500 mailboxes on the EX2003 to be migrated equalling no more than 350GB

In advance thank you for your advice.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't open document files from the internet, you should have outlined what says in the question.

However while you have 250gb in Exchange 2003, you lose single instance storage. Therefore the size will increase.
Furthermore the space you require for the migration is different to what is required when running day to day.

I would have at least two, preferably three databases.
What is the underlying storage? Are you able to physically separate the data and the logs?

As I put in your other question - "2 x HUB/CAS servers" - that isn't considered best practise any longer. I would put all roles on to all servers, particularly with only 500 users.

Simon.

Use Exchange 2010 calculator. That will give you required hardware estimate.
