Transitioning Server 2003 servers to Server 2012 - Licensing

I manage an AD domain with 5 servers at this time.  2 of those servers are 2003 and 3 are 2008.  When I bring in 2 new 2012 R2 servers to replace the 2003 servers, do I have to purchase all new CAL's?  I have already purchased plenty of past 2003 and 2008 CAL's to handle all of the users on the network.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes. New server versions require new CALs.
