My boss is setting up a new application server in AWS and wanted users to be able to authenticate using their AD credentials that are stored in Active Directory in my domain. What would be the best way to set that up? RADIUS server? Or configure LD ADS?

Thanks

actually, it depends on first the application and secondly the existing infrastructure at both your side and Amazon.

e.g. if the application is ASP.NET based runing on an IIS server, and it uses standard Windows authentication for users, probably the best choice is to set up a VPN between the AWS host to your LAN.

another example is, if the application supports RADIUS and your infrastructure does have a Windows NPS in DMZ, probably the easy way to keep using the RADIUS server.

again, it depends. so better more info about what you have or any other limitation.
