iso corruption query
hi,
question 1. I have a working c2950 switch but later I may get a possible ios corruption, am I correct in understanding that setting up 'rommon mode' as per below url, will automatically connect to tftp and re-upload the ios, like another backup method ?

no not yet as trying to delete my last ios on switch, but it states: error deleting (no such file or directory), but when I do:
sh flash: it shows me my ios: c2950.....ea6.bin
the other switches I was able to delete successfully which are also 2950
when I attempted the 'hyperterminal/xmodem' to re-install it attempts to copy for half an hour or more then states no enough memory or something but only ever had 1 ios on switch, but I thought if I do that I can then attempt to delete again.
so that is where I am and once done I can then setup rommon to install the ios when I switch off the switch and back on as a test.

for what I am doing the memory has always been enough so all I wish to do is completely delete that ios and re-install clean:
ws-c2950-24 (rc32300) revision ro 21013k bytes of memory
32 k bytes of flash-simulate non-volatile config memory

yeah no problems im not questioning your advice :)
this is what I used meaning when I went through the ccna/ccnp these were the very switches I used.

I apologies but I will have to come back to this tomorrow. much appreciated for your patience. at the moment I am not in a position to get more flash, unless I can somehow remove the flash from another 2950 in order to do this but if I remember correctly the other switches have the exact same amount of memory and they worked fine in deleting, that's why im puzzled.

apologies for taking timecto get back to you. I managed to delete & re-install ios again via hyperterminal taking 2hrs or more.
