I would not allow vlan 8 on the trunk port. Vlan 8 is part of an MST instance that has a few other vlans, &nbsp;so will not allowing vlan 8 on the trunk port block the entire instance that vlan 8 belongs too? <br />

Thank you for your comment, I should of explained more.

I would not allow vlan 8 on the trunk port. Vlan 8 is part of an MST instance that has a few other vlans,  so will not allowing vlan 8 on the trunk port block the entire instance that vlan 8 belongs too?

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol.
