Citrix printers local users

When our users log into to their Citrix desktop the session pulls through whatever local printers they have installed on their machines both locally and from the printer server. Then within the Citrix session when a user goes to print something they see one of their printers but it says session PC-name.

The above is a bit confusing for the uneducated user but still wired none the less. The real problem arises when a second user logs into their Citrix desktop and the session pulls through whatever local and network printers that user has. Now not only can these users see their own printers but they can now see each other's and get totally confused as all the printers appear with a printer name in session ........ After the name.

Anyway to stop that and have only the printers pulled through from a users local machine visible to that user only and without the session name after it?

Hope I explained that ok.

Are your users power users or local admins?
kingcastleAuthor Commented:
They would be domain users but yes local admins on their PC's

Are you using xenapp or xendesktop?
kingcastleAuthor Commented:
Sorry should have said that - xenapp.

On the XenApp servers, what rights do they have? Local admin? Power User?

Usually when UserA can see the printers for UserB, the user(s) is/are local admin or power user on the XenApp server. You either need to remove those rights or there is nothing, that I am aware of, that will "fix" this "issue" for you.

There are also Citrix policies you can set so that only the user's default printer is mapped or various other options for what printers you want the users to have mapped into their session.
