The problem is the query, not the curl or getting the output.

If I enter some data (school, semester, year), I get an URL like this one:

http ://apps.wcms.ecu.edu.au/semester-timetable/lookup?sq_content_src=%2BdXJsPWh0dHAlM0ElMkYlMkYxMC42Ny4xMjQuMTMxJTNBNzc4MCUyRmFwcHMlMkZzbXNhcHBzJTJGc2VtZXN0ZXJfdGltZXRhYmxlJTJGdmlld19zZW1fdGFibGVfcmMuanNwJmFsbD0x

The parameters entered are translated into a sq_content_src variable (see above).

When  you supply that URL, you get output:

curl -o output.txt http://apps.wcms.ecu.edu.au/semester-timetable/lookup?sq_content_src=%2BdXJsPWh0dHAlM0ElMkYlMkYxMC42Ny4xMjQuMTMxJTNBNzc4MCUyRmFwcHMlMkZzbXNhcHBzJTJGc2VtZXN0ZXJfdGltZXRhYmxlJTJGdmlld19zZW1fdGFibGVfcmMuanNwJmFsbD0x

At brief inspection it looks like you should append the "p_unit_cd..." string to the end of the URL instead of putting it in front of the URL.
