I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Well, then the administrator should unlock the sa account.

E.g.

ALTER LOGIN [sqldbpool] WITH PASSWORD = 'password' UNLOCK

btw, under most circumstances, it's imho not a good idea to use the sa account at all.

p.s. the interesting question here is, how got the account locked?
