When my Kali Linux boots up to the login screen, it comes up to "OTHER" and then has a prompt for my username and password.

What is the "OTHER"?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can click Other to login a different username than is currently displayed.

Yes I see that.
How can I get rid of OTHER?
Mark BullockQA Engineer IIICommented:
If you want to login automatically, for Gnome you can edit /etc/gdm3/daemon.conf and change the [daemon] section to look like this:
# Enabling automatic login
  AutomaticLoginEnable = true
  AutomaticLogin = yourusername
