Suggestion on color and font

What colors would you use for a word game if the blackboard was the green kind and the color of the letters was white written on the chalkboard?

In other words, for chalkboards, what is the hex value... #??????

Are the letters just white, or better to use an "off-white" color?

I would use an off-white. It is not so bright. You need something pleasant to the eyes, that does not get you tired.
