Numbers in the pin in Google maps

Hi all,

When I go to the www.celio.com and look for stores (http://www.celio.com/store-finder), I have a map as displayed in the attached file.
How do they manage to indicate the number of stores in the pin?

I assume that they use Google Map API.

Does it make sense?

Best regards
Richard

I'm not sure I understand the part about "numbers in the pin" because I do not see that here in USA, but I can show you the general design of the store-finder applications using Google Maps.  I've built these and documented them in two articles here at E-E.

I see the numbers in the circles at the second link.

Not sure if you are asking how they determine what number to put in the circle or how they actually display a circle with a number in it on a Google map. Since Ray handled the first part, I'll attempt to handle the second.

When I look through the code, I see references to InfoBox. InfoBox is an add-on for the Google Maps API that provides an alternative to the built-in infowindow. Unlike infowindow , you can style an InfoBox anyway you like. Here's a fiddle that shows how you might display a red circle with a number in it on a Google map at a given set of coordinates.
