Internet Proxy Solution

I need to setup a Internet proxy solution for 15 users so that users  can access the Internet through proxy.
Let me know what is the best solution for this considering 15 user setup.
It should be cost effective & proper secure solution.

Cost effective and secure, I'm thinking pfsense with Squid proxy, pfsense is in fact a firewall but you can tweak it to be just a proxy server as well ...

Or, just install a Linux server with Squid proxy, though you'll need to put in more work to secure it (Linux) yourself...

There are a number of options from connecting the router that comes with your internet connection to your network (most of these have at least a basic firewall), to high end firewall appliances.

When we needed something similar we took an old PC with two NIC ports (we had to add the second one) and installed IP Fire - a free Linux based firewall.  This gave us control over what ports were open, secured us from external attacks (as much as a simple firewall can) and allowed people internet access.

Ps. IP Fire does erase the content of the PC - it does not install on top of existing software.  So make sure there is nothing on the PC you need first.

Squid itself does not, but you could do this if and when using pfsense along with squid, squidguard (see previous link I gave) and HAVP ...

But be aware that you should use a robust machine for this, as it can be demanding on cpu and memory... Also, might slow down web traffic ...

Notices: if you going to implement SQUID, keep in mind it requires times and skills to install, manage and configure it with other components, also you need  the skill in Linux
