Windows Explorer ?

My computer running Windows 8.1. When I open Windows Explorer the windows it opens lack the min/max/x on the top right. How do I get it back?

If you restart in safe mode does it still happen? If not then you have something loading at startup that's causing the problem.

set the window the way (windows position and size) you like then press the ctrl key and close the window

Oh I made a mistake, the computer is Windows 8 not 8.1.

I don't understand what you mean cause cntl key does not close the window.
After setting the window size the way you want it, press and hold the control (ctrl) key and close the window. Holding the ctrl key while closing the window forces the window to "remember" the size it was when it was closed. It should then open the same size. This does not solve your problem though.

Which version are you suing? The desktop IE or the Metro (start screen) IE?
My bad... I mis-read. I see you are talking about Explorer and not IE.
