And, within Win 7, which Putty should install on that? Where is the direct url, to download Putty?
Ashok DewanFreelancerCommented:
you can use bitwise or wincp
1) http://www.bitvise.com/ssh-server-download
2) http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

Both are best to access linux machine from windows

Direct putty download link http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

Ooh have you intalled VNC software there on linux machine ?
1) you need to install VNC setup on linux machine which would call VNS server
2) then you need to run this above tool (called vnc client)and enter ip address to access linux machine.

But best way to use putty, winscp or bitwise. because ssh service native to linux as you already know.
