I have a budget records excel worksheet. Its for my sons soccer team. I have ran out of lines and want to add a bunch more. I cant insert, copy, or even click on the formula column. How can I make it so I can edit this sheet in order to add more lines for the parents and myself to populate and also have the formula keep counting? When I try to copy and paste is says:
The Cell or chart that you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only.\
To modify a protected cell or chart, first remove the protection using the unprotected sheet command (Review tab, Changes group). You may be promoted for a password.
The only problem is that unprotected sheet icon is grey and I can click it. Thank you.

Can you delete some lines you could do without to make some working space?

Can you copy a range of cells from the problem worksheet to a new worksheet?

Is this true when you copy from problem sheet to a NEW, blank worksheet?

Also, how many lines, and what version of Excel? Can you try a newer version of Excel?
Excel 97 supports 64,000 rows, and newer versions support over a million rows.
It will not let me copy the header, formula column, or footer. Which I need all of those. I cant copy all, I cant add anything additional. 2007 excel and 100 lines. I need like 100 more added for future months payments.

If you cannot do anything with the worksheet, look at Stellar Tools
You can't change the protection in a shared workbook. You need to unshare it first: click Share workbook, then uncheck the option to allow changes by more than one person. You should then be able to unprotect it.

I did that and I still cant do anything on the actual Sheet. The unprotected button is now click able. When I click it, it is asking for a password.
This is a program I have to pay for? Are there any other solutions from anyone?

Well, yes, it would. You can try simply pressing OK in case the password is blank. If not, you'll need a password breaking routine - there are loads of them you can find with Google.
If it's not confidential, post the workbook here and I'll remove the password.
If you value your data, go for the best software you can find. Stellar is not that expensive. There are free ones, but you want good ones.
