Trying to upgrade citrix receiver and the updated version doesnt work
We are currently running citrix receiver 13.4.0.25 I uninstalled it and ran the remove utility from citrix then installed receiver 14.2.0.10 and it wont connect, I have tried this on both a server in the farm (2008 R2 xenapp 6.5 R05) and on workstation (windows 7) all 64 bit.. When version 14 installed it asks for the address to connect to which is our server that has the citrix web interface (5.4.2.59), I put it in and it fails to connect.

Were you using the full receiver before or just the web interface? We had to extract the installer and only install the web relevant packages.

With both the current version and the new version we use the entire package.

I ended up contacting Citrix on this and its because we dont have a SSL configured for citrix mainly because we dont allow access outside our network unless its via VPN and the newer versions require it or you have to make some registry settings.
