Google

My OS is win 7 prof 64 bit and I use Google.  When I switch to google.com, my favorites appear on the small task bar, as in the attached image.  I would like to add the Groups and maps to this task bar, can the experts give me the steps to achieve this.  Thank u.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you're using Internet Explorer, you can do this with the Google toolbar if you want to try that.  Click here to download it:

I presume you're talking about the Google Chrome Browser, in which case, I am not aware of any way to do that. Instead, I use the Bookmarks Bar, which you activate by clicking the menu icon in the upper right:

Chrome menu
Then click Bookmarks>Show bookmarks bar. Then simply go to a website, such as Groups, and drag-and-drop the lock symbol in the address bar to wherever you want it on the Bookmarks Bar. I have many icons up there. Here's what my Groups and Maps ones look like:

A single click on an icon takes you to the page. Works great! Regards, Joe
