Change email account for a AD user
Hi all
we have one user whose email was linked to AD and was say user123@abc.com
He also has access to another email say user123@xyz.com - within same exchange server. I created a new user with his name and then gave full permissions to user123 so he can access 2 accounts.
But now he wants user123@xyz as his main email. Whats best way to change his main email address ?
hope above makes sense lol
As at present if he creates a new email its always abc.com and not xyz.

When i tried changing the above to the account he uses to log in i get below error. Would i need to delete below user account first? If i do, how do i set up a forwarder so all emails from his old email goes to new account?

Why change the login address? If you can change the main e-mail address (for sending and receiving) doesn't that help them enough?
Just a thought....

I was trying to change email address and got above error. Ideally prefer email address change. but as ive created 2 user account and him getting both emails in one outlook.
I now need him to log on as same user but take full control of the other users email address but within existing mailbox so he don't lose any emails? hope this is making sense
But as all people have his old email address i need to set up a forwarder somehow so if anyone sends email in his old address it will go to new address but existing mailbox?
sorry very hard to explain lol
