When is asks for username and password in setting it up, do I put in the administrator or the person who I am backing up?  Do I need to make the users member of the backup group?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I use Win 7 Backup and Restore all the time.  I have never been asked for a username or password.
However I do not have a password set up for the PC.  And I am not on a network.
However, if you are on a network and if you backup to a network location you might need the username and password to the share.

I looked at several tutorials on using Win 7 Backup and Restore and see no mention of using a username and password, except for the network share situation .
