There are two databases used by two different LOBs for same functionality. They have similar schema but not same.<br />
Now the plan is to merge one into another and have single DB. <br />

one db is in sql server 2008 and another is 2012 and we are bringing data from 2008 to 2012. right now we are checking each table in both databases manually for missing columns/mismatch of datatypes and datatype length. Is there any tool that can do this faster?<br />

Also when we migrate it may not be straight migrate we might have to run business rules. what is the best approach to proceed?<br />
